Four-time Academy Award nominee & Two-time Oscar Winner Director Malcolm Clarke reached out to Eric Jordan to construct a series of elegant animated film transitions, as well as opening and closing segments for a film being produced for Chinese mobile tech giant ByteDance, creators of the world famous TikTok application. With an extremely aggressive production timeline of just under 10 days to conceive, design, and animate the segments, Eric worked directly with the director & producer to quickly craft the look and production strategy for the animations which were to be rendered in UHD 4K and used to tie the films multiple storylines together in an interesting and cohesive way. Through the creation of a series of character & city montages, as well as use of the Bytedance logo as monolithic structures that reflect elements of the film storyline, the transitions effectively weave the main themes of urban technology, human interaction, and the positive aspect of mobile technology on human lives.
