MAIN TITLES, ROUND 1: CONCEPT DESIGN STTLE FRAMES
The following concept frames are not in any particular order at this time – they are intended to be a series of individual frames that could be potentially refined for the main storyboard. The central theme is to use the ROAM mask as the hero element of the sequence. The blue anamorphic lens flare element (coming off the internal mechanics of the mask) serves as a transitioning element between frames. This flare can be blasted in and out to switch between new scenes, or moved up and down the screen to introduce text, and to scan over elements to reveal new layers. Rather than using the mask entirely isolated, it might be interesting to situate the mask within an environment – such as ROAM testing facility/warehouse where early incarnations of the mask are being run through calibration tests. The mask may sit atop a mechanical podium which raises and lowers the unit into a cylindrical chamber where various data-feed cables run into the unit as the tests are run. During these test sequences, the scene will quickly flash into the astral plane, where data is being plotted over metaphysical subjects using LIDAR style data grids. The unit searches the astral plane, moving through fields of ethereal bodies to lock onto it’s target, and unwrapping different layers of data. Some of the data overlaps with deeper dimensions beyond where life’s energy signatures can be easily detected, and the data grids begin to be distorted, shredding the image into a rainbow like light distortion of the R G B channels. The scenes will flash back and forth between rotations around the mask unit and glimpses of the astral plane, illuminating the transference of a subject data between the physical and etheric dimensions.
