ABOUT THE PIECE

Prima Materia is the first installment artwork from the multi-piece Transmutation Collection – a limited edition genesis augmented reality artwork which marks Eric Jordan’s entry into the digital collectible artwork space. The work explores themes surrounding the initial stages of the alchemical transmutation of the soul and the metaphysics of consciousness.  The piece will transcend both the physical and digital realms and includes custom sound design by Eric Jordan – coming to life in the collector’s home in fully animated augmented reality. Each NFT drop comes with a very limited edition physical augmented print (edition of 5) and a digital 30-second animated artwork on the blockchain. The Prima Materia motion prints unlock digital layers “beneath the brushstrokes,” revealing the unfolding visual narrative, along with behind-the-scenes process screens. The purchase of the motion print unlocks a redeemable digital token as well…a representation of your support of the artist. This NFT is time and visually stamped, and you can save it or sell it at your own discretion, separate from your physical print. This is a PATRON TOKEN, minted on the most reputable Ethereum blockchain. Made possible by Art House and NFT technology. Learn more.

ABOUT THE COLLECTION

The Transmutations Collection is a seven-piece series of graphical and animated artworks by futurist artist Eric Jordan which explore the metaphysics of consciousness through an artistic reinterpretation of the universal ancient alchemical and hermetic teachings of self-mastery, reimagined through a neo-futurist lens for the modern era. As symbolism is a technology that links thought-forms across vast planes of existence, the collection aims to encode and reenvision timeless precepts for the transcendence of the phenomenal plane of reality – wisdom handed down across time by masters of the ancient sciences. Each of the seven works of the collection contains an individual part of a journey which will touch upon the different stages of transmutation – the transformation of base levels of consciousness into higher ones – within the context of a vast futuristic realm that is rich in the technology of symbolism.

As the Transmutations Collection is about transcendence of the physical plane, the full collection is dedicated to Rachel Jordan, fellow artist and wife of Eric Jordan, whom suffered severe skeletal and spinal injuries in a tragic helicopter crash in June of 2021 in Christchurch, New Zealand while photographing a wedding and remains in the hospital for many months in order to recover from her injuries.  As her injuries were sustained while engaged in her art form of professional photography, all proceeds from the auction of the collection will go towards the rehabilitation of Rachel so that she may return to her passion for creating art through photography, as well as to help fund the renovation of a new photography studio and to facilitate in the establishment of a foundation she is planning to start to assist others.
